Morning in Memmelsdorf

Today Ann-Marie and I went out searching for a backerei that was open on Sunday. We found one at the bahnhof (train station). We got some brotchen and headed out to Memmelsdorf to the lovely Seehof Schloss, which is just a few minutes drive from where we live. We spent the morning walking around the grounds and ate our bread.
The photos do not reflect how gorgeous the grounds are. There was a large maze type area formed with carefully trimmed bushes, a big lake in the back with several statue islands, areas for walking, benches to sit and a really lovely fountain. This is very near to our house. We have been here before in the winter with Ann-Marie's kindergarten (you may remember the photos of the lanterns and the kindergarten teachers performing a play?) We did not go very far inside the castle, but went far enough to notice that it is open in the middle there is a court yard garden area with a fountain that is open to the outside. There is a museum, but we didn't go through that because I wasn't sure if I had enough Euro.
